June 4, 2022 – June 11
We spent a week in Port Clinton for our family vacation, visiting Cedar Point and Put-in-Bay.
Day 1 – Saturday, June 4
We spent the day traveling, unpacking and getting settled into the house – a recently remodeled VRBO in Port Clinton.
Day 2- Sunday, June 5 – Put-in-Bay
We took the Jet Express ferry from Port Clinton to Put-in-Bay, rented a couple of golf carts, and explored the island all day, including Perry’s Monument, the Butterfly House, Crystal Cave, Heineman Winery (Kylee had lots of questions for the tour guide), and of course, a stop for ice cream!
Day 3 – Monday, June 6 – Cedar Point
Picked up our season tickets and hit some rides with the kiddos.
Day 4 – Tuesday, June 7 – Cedar Point Water Park
A little cool today, but not crowded at the Water Park and we got some time chilling on the beach.
Day 5 – Wednesday, June 8 – Cedar Point
Ellie is tall enough now to ride the big rides, so she chose Power Tower as her first big ride. Wasn’t happy at the end of the ride at first, but was back on for a second go within minutes!
Day 6 – Thursday, June 9 – Cedar Point Water Park
We went back to the Water Park today and rented a cabana to hang out in. Fun to have a central spot for everyone to meet up and hang out and grab some food between slides and pools.
After dark dance party with glow sticks back at the VRBO 🙂
Day 7 – Friday, June 10 – African Safari Wildlife Park
Fun day feeding the animals at the African Safari Wildlife Park, back to the Cedar Point Beach for a while, then enjoying the sunset against the backdrop of the nuclear power plant!
