New Hampshire – June 2020

We took two weeks to drive up to New Hampshire, stopping at a few locations along the way, staying for awhile with Dani & Harry, then spending a few days driving back.

Day 1 – Presque Isle Wine Cellars – Pennsylvania

First night, we stayed at Presque Isle Wine Cellars – via Harvest Host. Their tasting rooms were closed, but they brought out a few bottles of wine for us to enjoy along with some cheese and crackers we had brought along.

Day 2 – Long Acre Farms – New York

The second night was another Harvest Host stay. Long Acres farm is a family friendly winery that normally would have been bustling with family activities. We were still able to enjoy a private sitting in their tasting room and tried some nice local wines and spirits.

Day 3 – Travelers Woods – Massachusetts

Instead of going out of our way for our 3rd night stay, we decided to stay at Travelers Woods Campground in Massachusetts. It was a bit loud, being right off the highway, but was a convenient stay.

Day 4 – Arrived at Dani & Harry’s!

We were able to park our RV out front of their house and had an awesome view of the mountainside with beautiful sunsets!

Day 5 – Lupine Fields

Harry and Danielle took us up to see the lupine fields in the mountains today

Tonight was also our anniversary, so Harry, Danielle, and Taylor prepared a fancy gourmet dinner for us and Taylor serenaded us on her flute during dinner! Best Anniversary dinner yet!

Day 6 – Camp Moosilauke

Went up to the camp where Dani & Harry met for some hiking – too chilly for a swim today.

Day 9 – Hanging out

The girls went out to buy some new fabric, so time to sew some masks! (with oversight by Leo!)

Day 10 – Artists Bluff

A hike up to Artist’s Bluff today for beautiful views and we also learned that our dog, Lily and our grandson, Jackson are both mountain climbers!

Day 11 – Hummingbird Winery – New York

On the way back home already, we stopped at another Harvest Host – Hummingbird Winery in Eastern NY. Beautiful views, friendly hosts, and a great selection of wines!

Day 12 – July 4th

We had planned on making another stop on the way back, but we decided to put the pedal to the metal and get back home a day early. We got home just in time to enjoy a nice swim in the pool and watch the fireworks from surrounding neighbors
